Fall Picnic Potluck

About this event

All are invited to come to the fall Picnic Potluck with other Valley Villagers -- this time in the beautiful new pavilion atop the hill of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center. The large pavilion overlooks Harrisonburg, the valley and the mountains beyond!

Our picnics are a great way to connect with old friends and make new, and to enjoy a delicious meal together.

There is no registration and guests are very welcome. Bring a dish to share and your own tableware.

Modern restrooms are within the pavilion, and parking close by.

There is no rain date or alternate location planned. The pavilion is a large, sturdy wooden structure, so it is unlikely that weather would cancel the picnic.

However, if you have questions, you're welcome to call or text Betty Shenk 540 705 0531.

The office of the Heritage Center is open until 5:00 and anyone is welcome to stop in there before the office closes. There are very interesting displays about the history of the Valley.

Also, if anyone would like a guided tour before our picnic of the entire Heritage Center, including seeing inside the various restored buildings, please call their office at 540-438-1275 at least a day or two ahead, to be sure guides will be available. Allow 60-90 minutes (there is a $10 suggested donation for the guided tour).
