Aging in Place with support services from “Care Is There”

About this event

In 1967 when Paul and John penned the tune, "When I'm 64," none of us ever thought about actually being 64.  But, here we are in 2026 and most of us are seeing 64 in the rearview mirror.  It is time, or past time, to look at the road ahead.  "Care Is There," a local organization, is ready to help and support.

Have you wondered who will help to guide you through some emergency or awkward parts of life?  Elissa McDonald will discuss a variety of services "Care Is There" can perform to help you remain as independent as you want, while filling in some gaps that you may have as a solo-ager or someone with family and close friends living far away. Elissa will talk about how to choose the services you think you may need, so they are "turnkey" at a time of need.

Services include having someone:
? coordinate in-home caregivers
? advocate for you during medical emergencies or regular doctor's visits
? oversee home maintenance
? manage your medications
? write checks and review bank statements for accuracy
? walk your dog or clean the bird cage

Care is There even offers a "Just in Case" service with a plan ready to go just in case you need it.

Join Elissa McDonald for an informal conversation about what you need to live joyfully at 64 and beyond.
