What is this?
During the last week in April, the Frontier Culture Museum is celebrating “Wool Week” with demonstrations related to wool production – from the hoof to the shawl. Come enjoy these various demonstrations, tour the grounds and buildings, learn about the cultures and people who migrated from the Old World to the Shenandoah Valley, and relish being outdoors with Valley Village friends!
Please bring packed lunches and face masks, carpool as desired, and purchase tickets upon arrival. Tickets will be $8/person.
YOU MUST LOGIN TO THE WEBSITE TO REGISTER
Schedule will be as follows
10:45 AM arrival: park in front of Visitor’s Center & purchase tickets within. Restrooms & gift shop also available in Center.
11:00 AM – 12:15 PM: guided tour, Part I
12:15 – 1:15 PM: restroom break, lunch in picnic area off parking lot (store lunches in vehicles until this time; snacks also available in Gift Shop)
1:15 – 2:30 PM: guided tour, Part II
2:30 – 5:00 PM: grounds open if want to linger after tour
Rain Date - April 30
For mobility concerns, a minimal number of golf carts are available, or if needed a 16-seat tram can be used, at no additional charge. Please contact Pearl (540-820-8309) by registration deadline to reserve a mobility-assistive vehicle. Paths on grounds are W/C accessible.
Come join in the fun and pray for beautiful weather!
