Can neighborhoods be designed in a way that encourages neighbors to develop more authentic relationships? How might neighborhood design better support parents of young children, seniors aging in place, and intergenerational dialogue and connection? How do you arrange and structure a neighborhood to promote fun?
Join us as we discuss efforts to build a local multigenerational cohousing neighborhood centered around the idea of community and connection. We’ll learn about cohousing models from Denmark that were introduced to the United States in the 1980s. Today, more than 150 neighborhoods in the United States follow the cohousing model, including six in Virginia.
