Drive approximately 2 hours to the beautiful, historic Greenbrier Resort where we will be treated to a 90-min guided tour of their underground Cold War Bunker followed by lunch at The Forum Restaurant. The bunker was built in the mid-50s as a secret hideaway for national leaders in the event of a nuclear attack, until the Washington Post blew its cover in 1992. The Colonial Revival Architecture, extensive 11,000-acre grounds, golf courses, and mineral springs have made this resort a favorite destination for people around the world since 1778.
Cost of bunker tour: $39/person, payable on-site
