A pontoon boat has been reserved for a 3 - 4 hour tour of the beautiful man-made Smith Mountain Lake located near Roanoke, VA. The lake covers 20,600 acres and is approximately 40 miles long with 500 miles of shoreline. Around noon, the boat will stop at a waterfront restaurant, where everyone orders and pays for their own meal. Regular restroom stops will be made.
- 8:30 AM: leave from Park View Mennonite Church (PVMC) parking lot (SE corner)
- Noon: luncheon at waterfront restaurant
- 7:00 or 8:00 PM: return to PVMC
Travel: You may choose to travel in a group van for $20/person, payable at boarding; contact Lowell by Sept 16 to reserve van space. Or, you may choose to carpool or drive separately if preferred.
