“All the Live-Long-Day”: A career of working on the Railroad

Member Bob Harvey will share with us his experiences that began in 1963 with his being a member of the “Bridge Gang,” on the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad. His career experiences included work In the Track Department, Car Department, Signal Gang, Mechanical Department, Trainman, Fireman, Engineer and culminated as a Union Representative working on safety with the Federal Railroad Administration. This program will take many (if not all) of us to a distant past when rail travel was common, and, perhaps, quite exciting.

Come early to enjoy conversation over tea and light refreshments.
